Structural Shifts, Asthma and Autoimmune Conditions!

Last week we focused on symptoms and the healing process. I believe that once people can begin to grasp the role of symptoms in health and healing—that they then have begun the “paradigm shift” towards a true understanding of how the body works.

There  can  be  confusion between symptoms and conditions. A symptom is a part of or a result of the inherent healing process of the body—it indicates that the healing process  is  underway-but  a condition is when the body is NOT functioning  correctly  and  the healing  process  has  been somehow altered or cannot be completed.

Example: Sneezing is the body’s way of purging toxins from the body—it’s part of the healing process—a good thing, a beneficial thing and to chemically inhibit the symptom would only prolong the problem. Congestion—would be an example of a condition—where the body is NOT functioning as it is supposed to.

So to resolve the condition, the objective outcome needs to be aimed at improving or restoring FUNCTION and in the case of Chiropractic; this is done with the restoration of normal nerve flow via the detection and correction of Structure that has shifted away from NORMAL . At Align Chiropractic we do not focus on your symptoms rather understand that Secondary Conditions must have a PRIMARY CAUSE. In our office we focus on structural Correction.

Remember that Chiropractic is not a “treatment” as such, rather a way to push a body towards normal function and that it’s the body that does the healing and repair process.  Our job at Align Chiropractic centre is to educate on the role that Structural Shifts play in the CAUSATION of or CONTRIBUTION to various Secondary Conditions.

This week we will continue our theme of the immune system with a discussion of Structural Shifts and Asthma.

 

 

 

ASTHMA STATISTICS

 

1 in 10 Australians suffer from asthma. That’s over 2 million people.

$655 million was spent on asthma in 2008–09. That’s 0.9% of all direct health expenditure on diseases.

37,500 hospitalisations in 2012–13 where asthma was the principal diagnosis. That’s a hospitalisation rate of 168 per 100,000 population.

394 deaths due to asthma in 2012 (0.3% of all deaths).

An estimated 300 million people worldwide suffer from asthma, with 250,000 annual deaths attributed to the disease.

An asthma attack is caused by an inflammatory response which causes constriction of the bronchial tubes. This response can be due to abnormal biological signaling and communication in the human body.

Very important to remember that the central nervous not only controls all functions in the human body, but coordinates all biological signaling and communication including cell to cell communication, intracellular communication and even molecular communication at the DNA level of the body.

 

Some of this abnormal signaling can be attributed to Structural Shifts and some can be attributed to early shifts that have created abnormal communication pathways in the body. As we have seen in previous weeks—when the symptoms associated with normal immune system development are altered—it actually weakens the immune system over the long haul. This is why we have spent some much time (and will continue to focus on) educating the public about the importance of Structural Shift correction as early as possible in a child’s life.
